As a foreigner, or gaijin, newly arrived in Japan, I have decided to share some of my experiences here as a first-time blogger.  Recently, after finding out about a job opportunity to teach internal medicine at a Japanese residency program, I eagerly accepted the position because of the unique chance to see how medicine is practiced in another developed country and to learn an entirely new culture.  Hope you enjoy this peek into Japan!
